Proof of concept: Shain

Shain was a demo concept we did for PC. It was an exercise blending Colombian mithology and racing games!

The idea was to have this spiritual animal, a Condor in this case, the condor flies through a track which was the body of an ancient god.

As the condor entered dark areas he would start to rust and lose health.
Players would need then to pick up orbs to keep going,and for each orb players would recover life and little by little awaken the god.

On this project I did the lighting and level design, created materials and custom shaders for the rust and gold effect. I also did the FX for the item pickups. We went for a more low poly feel on the overall game, with clean visuals that focused on colors and atmosphere.

All in all it took us about a week to put this together!
